Getting Started with Admin Portal

[!WARNING] Platform Admin Authentication Required: You must have super-admin credentials to access the Admin Portal. This is NOT for regular organization admins.

If you're an organization owner/admin, use the Portal instead.

Accessing the Admin Portal

  1. Go to id.optare.one/admin (opens in a new tab)
  2. Log in with your admin credentials
  3. Verify you have admin role
  4. You'll see the admin dashboard

Verifying Your Admin Role

  1. Click on your profile (top right)
  2. Check your role shows "Admin" or "Owner"
  3. If not admin, contact the organization owner

Understanding the Admin Dashboard

The admin dashboard provides:

  • Overview of all products - Product catalog at a glance
  • Overview of all subscriptions - Active licenses and revenue
  • Recent activity - Latest system actions
  • Quick stats - Total products, subscriptions, organizations, users
  • Navigation - Access to all admin features

From the dashboard, quickly:

  • Create Product
  • Create Subscription
  • Create OAuth Client
  • View Audit Logs
  • Manage Organizations

Navigation

The admin portal has several main sections:

Dashboard

Your overview and system statistics.

Organizations

View and manage all customer organizations.

Products

Create and manage product catalog.

Subscriptions

Assign products to organizations and manage licenses.

OAuth Clients

Configure OAuth applications for the platform.

Users

View and manage all user accounts.

Webhooks

Configure system-wide webhook endpoints.

SCIM Tokens

Enterprise provisioning and user sync.

Audit Logs

View all administrative actions and system events.

Admin Capabilities

As an admin, you can:

  • ✅ Create subscriptions for organizations
  • ✅ Manage OAuth clients
  • ✅ View audit logs
  • ✅ Configure webhooks
  • ✅ Manage SCIM provisioning (Enterprise)

Best Practices

  1. Regular audit reviews - Check audit logs weekly
  2. Secure credentials - Use strong passwords and 2FA
  3. Document changes - Keep notes on configuration changes
  4. Test in staging - Test major changes before production
  5. Monitor subscriptions - Track expiration dates
